A great video has been produced by Isle of Wight Alternative Attractions that shows the impact that the recent and continually moving landslide in the Undercliff has had on a popular footpath.
As you’ll see from the video below, the filmmaker takes us along the path from St Lawrence to Binnel Bay.
Keen walkers and lovers of Binnel Bay will know that the footpath had been closed for some time, but recently reopened after work took place last year.
It’s shocking to see so many trees have fallen and some of those cracks in the land are pretty scary too.

Footpath closed
One of the Rights of Way officers with the IW Council has been in touch and is keen for us to point out that Public Footpath V124 from Undercliff Drive to Binnel Bay is formally closed pursuant to the Road Traffic Act, it is an offence to walk it and the closed signs should not be ignored.
