Island Line trains have confirmed that the initial repair work following a landslide near Sandown that resulted in the service being suspended has gone well.
They will therefore be in a position to resume the service from Wednesday between Ryde Esplanade and Shanklin.
The pier track remains out of service following last week’s storm damage, so the replacement shuttle taxi minibus service operating between Ryde Esplanade and Ryde Pier Head will continue until further notice.
