Island Speedway welcome global electronics giant

More great news in from Bryn on behalf of Island Speedway. Ed

Island Speedway are proud to announce that Sharp Electronics have agreed to become the latest big name company to be associated with Island Speedway.

Sharp’s area sales manager Danny Hamilton was initially approached by Dave Stevens of Island speedway’s main team sponsors SBS EPoS with a view to becoming involved with the exciting planned return of speedway racing to the Isle of Wight.

Dealer already onboard
With the added attraction Newport-based ICR Systems who are the Island’s appointed Sharp EPoS (that’s electronic point of sale) dealer already committed to the cause, it seemed the logical thing for Sharp Electronics themselves to do.

Tremendous news for Island Speedway
Welcoming Sharp Electronics’ new association with Island Speedway, joint speedway boss Martin Widman said,

“This is tremendous news and further demonstrates that Island Speedway is really promoting itself and the Isle of Wight on a local, national and international basis.

“With Sharp now joining our previously revealed sponsors who’ve come forward to back us, and the track renovation going very well, we cannot wait to get track action at Smallbrook again.

“The club is delighted that there’s been a lot of interest in the team and planned speedway school up to this point, and we will continue to work with partners and sponsors to maintain the momentum we have generated so far.

“Heat sponsorships are already being purchased for 2016 and our sponsors are both investing in the club and helping us to obtain more sponsors as has been the case with Sharp via Dave from SBS EPOS.

“Meanwhile our fans and volunteers are working extremely hard at the track undertaking the necessary tasks that need to be completed prior to racing recommencing and we cannot thank them enough for all they have achieved so far and will continue to achieve, it’s a marvel.”
