There are just two sessions left in May for free allergy awareness training for food businesses – but you haven’t got long to sign up.
There is also the chance to sign up for discounted accredited training – also taking place at the beginning of May.
What it covers
The webinar training is suitable for anyone who owns, manages or works in a food-related business. It covers allergies, Coeliac Disease and intolerances; allergens and the law including Natasha’s Law and controls and contamination.
Only food businesses registered with the council’s Regulatory Services can apply to attend – you can register with the service online. Registering your food business is free and once you have done so you can apply to attend the Allergy Awareness training.
Limited spaces
Spaces are limited to 30 places per webinar and must be booked in advance. The 75 minute long zoom webinars will take place between 9.30am to 11am on the following days (booking link beneath each date – please choose the date you would like to attend):
Further discounted accredited allergen management training
In addition a further discounted fully accredited allergen management Training Qualification has been made available to our Island businesses.
If you wish to gain an accredited allergen management award at a discounted rate, we can offer a further training course at a special rate of £30 per delegate.
Ensuring staff are compliant
The Industry standard Highfield accredited Level 2 award will enable businesses and their staff to be compliant under the Food Information Regulations and the NEW Natasha’s Law (PPDS) regulations.
The qualification will be assessed by a short multiple-choice examination.
Don’t miss the deadline
The half day face-to-face training will take place at County Hall on either Monday 16th May 2pm or Tuesday 17th May 1pm – confirmation on booking.

All of the above training and accreditation sessions will be delivered by Food Allergy Aware – specialists in Allergy Awareness training and consultancy for the food services industry.
