The Isle of Wight is building up quite a collection of video game developers.
Beyond the big boys (and girls) like Stainless Games, there’s small development houses like Rubicon Development and individual developers like Gareth Williams working as Team Mango.
Coming in March
Well, we can add another to the list now, Lindon Heaven, who has founded L Heaven Games and will be releasing TheDeadKeepRising for the iPad on the 3rd March this year.
He’s not without game development experience having previously written for the PC, but this is the first time that he’ll be publishing his own game, which all started up last year with Lindon working from his spare bedroom.
Look out for it at the start of March, and if you act swiftly, you’ll catch the limited time offer of it being available for download for free.
Lindon on TheDeadKeepRising
Here’s how Lindon describes the game
TheDeadKeepRising is a zombie-fuelled top down arcade game for the iPad, the object of which is to defend the graveyard gates from several different kinds of zombie attackers using a selection of different weapons.
The game is quickly immersive and has fast paced action from the start. Game play can last for as long as the player has at any one given time – be it a 5 minute wait at the bus stop or an evening of blood splattering zombie mayhem.
It is also linked to GameCenter so the player can compare scores on-line and receive goals for key moments within the game.
