Following the level of public discussion on the brief analysis we did on the Ventnor town election nominations, it was clear that VB readers wanted to know why some of the prospective Ventnor town councillors accepted nominations in more than ward and what their thinking was behind doing so. They can, after all, only be elected to one seat.
We learnt yesterday, which of them have dropped out of which ward.
We wrote to the four of them on Tuesday – Jonathan Fitzgerald-Bond, Graham Perks; Susan Scoccia; Val Taylor.
The two ladies have replied and we’re waiting for responses from the two gentlemen, who may be away at the moment.
When they return, we hope to hear from them and will run the story next week.
