Monergy launched in Ventnor

Thanks to Ray for details of this new project launched in Ventnor. In his own words, Ed

The first in a series of Island-wide training sessions to help people understand energy costs was heralded a success, with those attending feeling they had learnt some useful tips.
The training lasts just one hour and is fun and interactive.

“We know may people find energy bills overwhelming and are worried about the cost of running appliances. This one-hour course gives people some basic info on the wise use of energy…” said Ray Harrington-Vail of the Monergy project.

Funding to train 100 residents
The Monergy project has received funding from IWC Adult & Community Learning and aims to train 100 people.

This will help householders reduce their energy and water bills.

It has been praised by Island MP Andrew Turner and is supported by the Island’s Children’s Centres.

Please call or text the Trust on (01983) 822282 for more information or to book a training session at your community hall, church, club or group.
