Residents are invited to Monday evening's meeting of the Ryde Society where the Isle of Wight council's Director of Regeneration will be in the hot-seat.
At last night's meeting around 60 Ryde residents slated the plans to sell off the harbour and accused the Isle of Wight council of ignoring a regeneration consultation.
Ryde residents can hear more about the support from the Chairman of the House of Lords Committee at tonight’s meeting being held at the Royal Esplanade Hotel from 7pm.
The chair of the Ryde Society said the meeting brought a positive vibe. She added that the heritage of Ryde needs to be protected in any regeneration plans.
Speaking on Ryde Regeneration Plans, Cllr Jim Moody says, "Rather than milking Ryde, the County Council would be better employed fighting much more strongly for money that the Island deserves to receive from national budgets."
