The Isle of Wight Council is to reopen Ryde’s famous landmark, Appley Tower, for one day only as part of the celebrations of Appley Day on Saturday 22nd June.
Ryde Regatta, which takes place on Saturday 2nd June has already received a large entry of crews and scullers. Show your support and watch what are expected to be very close racing on Saturday from midday.
There will be plenty to see and do during Cowes Week which starts this Friday, 28th July and runs until Saturday 5th August. Suzanne and Alan share a round-up of what you can get up to.
A group of girls and boys - who will be performing on and around Ryde’s Carnival Queens float at all the Island Carnivals this year - will be taking part in the fundraising climb on Monday 3rd July at Appley Park in Ryde.
This weekend marks the 40th Anniversary of a Hants and Dorset ARA Championships Regatta being held off Appley Beach, at Ryde. Do go along and cheer on the rowing teams.
Some very close racing is expected in Ryde next weekend and Islanders are invited to head to Ryde to watch this free event - the best vantage point being from the sea wall by the Canoe Lake.
