Photo ID requirement for upcoming Wootton Bridge By-Election: All you need to know

The constituents of Wootton Bridge will be invited to head to the polling stations on Thursday 24th August, to vote for their preferred replacement for disgraced former Isle of Wight councillor, Daryll Pitcher.

Mr Pitcher, who is serving a prison sentence for historic rape charges, committed against a girl under the age of 13, when he was a teenager in the 1990s, resigned from his position last week.

Photo ID required
Those voting in the By-Election must remember to take photo ID with them to the polling station in order to vote.

Anyone who does not have one of the accepted forms of ID will be able to apply for free ID online or by completing a paper form.
