Thanks to Nat for this latest report from Ryde Academy. Ed

On Friday 13 March, Ryde Academy was proud to be support Comic Relief in breaking the billion pound mark in money raised over the last 30 years.

The Student Council were responsible for organising the event with support from staff and fellow students.

The day was a big hit with both students and staff with many of those wearing MUFTI showing their support for the cause by wearing red.

Mrs Watt, Interim Headteacher, said

“I am so pleased at the success of the day. Students and staff alike embraced the opportunity to raise money for such a good cause.”

Range of activities
Red noses were sold by students on Thursday and Friday along with raffle tickets to win a teddy bear, won by Mr Benson, ICT teacher (which he generously donated back for future charity events). There were a range of other activities that took place over Thursday and Friday.
