Sainsbury’s supporting Breathe Easy

Thanks to Tanya for sharing news of another fundraising effort at the Newport store. Ed

Sainsbury’s nominated charity, Breathe Easy, came to our Newport store over the Bestival weekend. Breathe Easy are a charity that supports people living with lung and breathing problems.

They were at our store Saturday and Sunday collecting and selling their merchandise, they even brought in Rupert the Bear which went down well with the kids. They loved seeing him and having a cuddle.

It was a successful weekend with the charity being able to raise an amazing £238.

Andy Savage, Breathe Easy Nordic Walking Instructor, said, “One in seven people on the Island suffer from some kind of respiratory problem and so there was a steady stream of visitors discovering the help and support that this group can offer them.

“Sainsbury’s have made ‘Breathe Easy’ their charity for the year and the group is very grateful for the support Tanya Blake and the other staff members are giving them to help to raise awareness of this worthy cause.”
