Sting, Timberlake and Stereophonics lead crowd-pleasing Isle of Wight Festival 2025

Tens of thousands of music fans gathered at Seaclose Park for Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2025, with a star-studded line-up across the weekend and standout performances on every stage.

Friday night saw 17-time GRAMMY Award winner Sting return to the island for the first time since 2008, delivering a powerful headline set on the Main Stage.

Drawing from his extensive back catalogue, he performed classics including Message In A Bottle, Roxanne, and new single I Wrote Your Name Upon My Heart.

Sting returns to Seaclose
Sting’s headline appearance formed part of his STING 3.0 World Tour, which reimagines his songs through the stripped-back energy of a three-piece band. His performance marked the end of Friday’s Main Stage line-up, following a strong build-up throughout the day.

Earlier on, the Lottery Winners got the Main Stage going, with Amy Macdonald following, playing fan favourites including This Is The Life.

The Corrs brought a wave of nostalgia as the sun began to set, while Faithless closed the night with crowd-rousing dance hits including Insomnia.

Big Top hosts energetic performances
Over on the Big Top, Crystal Tides opened the stage before Twin Atlantic and Amble brought their high-energy live shows to the tent.

The Lathums kept momentum going with a fan-pleasing set, and Dean Lewis captivated the crowd with Be Alright. Clean Bandit ended the night with an upbeat performance featuring chart-toppers like Rather Be and Rockabye.

Stereophonics bring the hits
Saturday night’s Main Stage highlight was the return of Welsh rock band Stereophonics, performing at the festival for the first time in nine years. Their set included much-loved tracks Dakota, Have A Nice Day, and Maybe Tomorrow.

Daytime performances included 5 Degrees North and Emmanuel Kelly, who made history as the first differently-abled artist to perform on the Main Stage. Mae Muller debuted her new track Hello Kitty, and The Saw Doctors followed with a lively set.

Razorlight and Busted brought the afternoon into full swing, before Paul Heaton and The Script closed out the day with singalong favourites and crowd interaction.

Big Top hosts indie and Britpop favourites
Saturday’s Big Top line-up included The Bracknall, The Clause, Matilda Mann and Arthur Hill.

Pale Waves impressed with their musicianship, followed by performances from Leeds bands English Teacher and Yard Act. Supergrass delivered a closing set packed with festival spirit.

Sunday celebrations across the site
The final day of the festival with Björn Again delivering a feel-good ABBA tribute, followed by Ella Eyre and Alison Moyet. Olly Murs drew one of the largest crowds of the weekend, before Texas and Jess Glynne wrapped up the afternoon with big singalong moments.

At the Big Top, The Lilacs started the day, followed by Remember Monday performing their Eurovision entry What The Hell Just Happened. Midge Ure played to a packed tent, and upcoming artists Nieve Ella and Alessi Rose shared the spotlight with 90s favourites Lightning Seeds.

Festival veterans James closed the Big Top stage with an emotional set featuring Sit Down and Laid.

Timberlake brings the house down
Sunday also saw Justin Timberlake headline the Main Stage with a hit-packed performance including SexyBack, Cry Me A River, and My Love. His wife, Jessica Biel, watched from the side of the stage.

On stage, Timberlake told the crowd,

“I’ve been trying to get to Isle of Wight for years and years and years and it’s everything I thought it was.

“You made a Tennessee boy’s dreams come true”.

With a weekend of sunshine, standout performances and a wide mix of genres, the 2025 Isle of Wight Festival offered something for everyone.
