If you’re into motor sports and not doing anything this evening, a talk at Quay Arts should be right up your street.
If you don’t recognise the name, Tony Southgate has led a distinguished career in international motorsport, from building and racing his own 750 Motor Club race car in the early 1960’s to designing the 1988 and 1990 24 Hour Le Mans winning Jaguars.
His career has spanned several arms of motorsport, from Formula 1, to the Indianapolis 500 and designing the iconic Ford RS200.
The event, being hosted by the Isle of Wight Car Club, takes place in the Quay Arts Cafe and the ticket price of £10 also includes a mouthwatering local produce buffet (from 7pm), so you won’t need to eat before leaving home.
If you just want to go along to the talk (which starts at 8pm), cost is just £3.
