Top 10 Isle of Wight pubs unveiled in CAMRA’s 2026 voting results

Island real ale enthusiasts have voted The Ale House in Cowes as their favourite Isle of Wight pub, while Goddards Brewery’s Fuggle Dee-Dum has been crowned Beer of the Year for 2026.

The Isle of Wight’s CAMRA branch, and all members had the opportunity to vote online for their preferred pub and beer.

Branch chairman John Nicholson said,

“This is wonderful news. No one deserves this more than Steph (Moorton) and Reg (White).

“They have worked incredibly hard to promote good beer, and they also support other Island pubs by organising regular coach trips.”

  4. Duke of York, Cowes
  5. S A Fowler Co, Ryde
  6. Harry’s Bar, Ryde
  7. Volunteer, Ventnor
  8. Star Coffee & Ale House, Ryde
  9. Sportsman’s Rest, Porchfield
  10. Highdown Inn, Totland (tie) and King Harry’s Bar, Shanklin (tie)

Top Beers of the Year 2026

  1. Fuggle Dee-Dum – Goddards
  2. Earl’s RDA – Island Brewery
  3. Puncheon Porter – Goddards
  4. Dark Side of the Wight – Yates
  5. Black IPA – Wight Knuckle
  6. Ale of Wight – Goddards
  7. Yachtsman Ale – Island Brewery
  8. Plum Porter – Yates
  9. Gold Otter – Wight Knuckle


There will be a presentation later in the year to celebrate the victorious pubs and pints in
the list.
