Shane Thornton was out in the middle of the night taking photos and video of the flooding in Whitwell.
The Eastern Yar burst its banks at the junction of Whitwell High Street and Nettlecombe Lane, sheer amount of water that flooded out and well-illustrated by the video Shane took (below).
The stills he took show not only the extent of the water coverage, but the real impact that it had on people lives with a ‘during the flood’ photo of some of the village’s cottages and the ‘clear up begins’, aftermath pics.
