Young gardeners have been busy growing their own pumpkins at the YMCA Day Nursery and Preschool in Newport.
Pumpkins were grown from seed and planted in the vegetable patch, where the children have been eagerly watching them grow.
Carly Tutton, practitioner has been leading this project as part of the development of the large garden provision at the site at St Marys hospital.
The three and four year olds will be cooking the pumpkins with Carly using an old family recipe to create a tasty Autumn treat to warm the children as they play outside amongst the trees, making dens.
