funtasia auction fairy cakes:

Still time to bid in online auction for Daisy Chains children’s charity

As we mentioned yesterday, when bins were vandalised following the Funtasia Fun Day, an online auction was set up to raise money to pay the bill.

After Biffa wrote off the invoice, Tracey Smith, who is organising the online auction decided to continue with it, with proceeds now going to Isle of Wight children’s charity, Daisy Chains (more below).

Online auction
Many residents and businesses have donated items to the auction which you can bid on through Facebook.

There are all manner of items up for auction from handmade jewellery and crafts to a Pimms Hamper worth £50, a six month membership to the Heights worth £230, brand new leather luggage and loads more.

Simply head over to the auction album, click through the photos each of which have a description of what is being offered. You place you bid in the comments section and at 6pm Sunday, whoever has voted the highest wins the bid.

Daisy Chains IW
Daisy Chains IW was founded by Kellie Lawrence and Mandy Fuller, both of whom have children that have been affected by long term sickness or disability.

After years of Fundraising for their own children they strongly felt there was a need for something to be available on the Isle of Wight to help those parents who are unable to access the equipment and therapies needed to help their children progress.

Find out more by visiting the Daisy Chains Website.

The Charity’s main aims
