News OnTheWight has contacted the ferry companies to seek the truth to the rumours that have been causing great concern among those who need to access the mainland for medical treatment, family commitments or work
Wightlink provide ferry services to the Isle of Wight. They operate car ferry services from two Island ports, Yarmouth and Fishbourne, as well as a foot passenger services from the end of the pier in Ryde.
Wightlink’s Yarmouth car ferry lands in Lymington. The other two services land in Portsmouth.
The ferry service was bought by Australian-based investment bank, Macquarie, in 2005 for just over £230m.
