Annual Monkton Arts Prize 2022 returns: Don’t miss the deadline

To support local artists throughout the Isle of Wight, Monkton Arts has recently launched their annual Monkton Arts Prize 2022.

Prizes include a First Prize of £1,000 cash, 2nd Prize of £500 cash and a 3rd Prize of £250. Entries can be in any medium (2D or 3D) with a maximum size of A2 for 2D work or the base of a 3D entry.

There is also a Children’s Prize with  £250 cash prize and two other awards for Developing and Training young artists. 

A shortlisting exhibition will take place between Tuesday 16th – 26th August with the prize giving event taking place on Monday 22nd August. 

Judging panel
The expert judging panel this year are as follows:

  • Andrew Hird (Winner of the First Prize in 2021)
  • Sandy Kendall (Resident Artist at Monkton Arts)
  • Alex Williams (Professional artist)
  • Professor Robin McInnes (OBE)
  • Nick Martin (Professional artist)

Deadline for online submission is Friday 5th August.
