Hurst’s team cycles 60 miles for charity: Support Home-Start on the Island

There’s a lot going on this coming weekend, including an Island-wide cycle for charity by 19 members of staff from Hurst, the Island’s oldest ironmongers, that now sells a great deal more.

Dave Rudman (pictured left), the manager of Hurst’s Ventnor branch, will be one of those taking part in the fundraising challenge on Sunday, cycling 60 miles around the Island and visiting each one of Hurst stores.

He explained,

“We are cycling to raise money for Home-Start charity who support families through challenging times and their support is as individual as the parents and children themselves.

“Times are challenging for us all at the moment and the Hurst family recognise the importance of how small things can make a big difference when put all together.

“We want to help as many as we can and if you are able to sponsor us using maybe just loose change in your pocket it will make a difference.”
