Sandown council have created the conditions where the owner of the Needles Park can lease Sandham Gardens. A public consultation takes place later this month.
All are welcome to this free event where they'll be able to see fascinating displays and meet local ‘prehistory’ enthusiasts. As well as fossil collectors, there will also be local archaeologists and metal detector groups showing off their finds.
Members of the public will be invited to have their say on the new plans for all-through education in Sandown. One big change will be the sixth form, which needs to have at least 200 students but only has 39 in Year 12 at the moment.
