Letter: An insight into the gross inequalities: Is Britain’s system structured or broken?

The next general election is a long way off, but might it be further away than we think?

There are interesting changes going on. On the one hand we live in one of the richest countries in the world, indeed, one of the richest countries that there has ever been, one that is supposedly bristling with numerous high paid career opportunities, yet 50 year olds are now being told to compete with teenagers for minimum wage opportunities.

What on earth is going on?
Our government has spent the last thirteen years engineered misfortune and demise, and is now blaming the people for that misfortune and demise.

They defunded schools, then blamed the teachers for not being able to cope.

They defunded our NHS, then blamed the nurses and doctors for not being able to cope.

They defunded Councils and then blame Councillors for not being able to cope.

They’re coming for the likes of you and me
Having run out of institutions to defund they have now setting their sights on defunding people directly. Make no mistake, Rishi, and his rich corporate handlers, are coming for the likes of you and me.

The gross inequalities in our society are becoming ever more evident. Is it a broken system? Well, not if you believe it is structured to further enrich those at the top. In this context, everything is progressing just fine.

There is plenty of money to go around
The more money elites have, the more desperate they are to have more. If we are the sixth richest country in the world, with a population of 60million, then there is plenty of money to go around.

The problem is the wealth is held by a few people who are anxious to keep hold of it and make more, more than they could ever spend in a multitude of lifetimes.

It is bizarre that we reward and revere these people, who have limited social skills, no empathy, and who work for themselves, and against others.

We haven’t seen anything yet
As for the future, I fear we haven’t seen anything yet. The next general election may be a year or so away, but that presupposes we will be allowed to have one.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they cancel the next general election for our safety, or for some other nefarious reason, in order to keep their money making show on the road. A ridiculous prediction? Well I’m not so sure it is. File this augury away, and remember you heard it here first.
