Isle of Wight schools have today (Thursday) provided their provisional results to the Isle of Wight Council, with the majority reporting improvements overall.
The College say they cannot comment on the nature of the delay at this stage, but confirm it has cooperated with the exam board at every stage during their process.
The new curriculum will include boat-building, including specifications and designing prototypes; navigation electronics; celestial navigation; tides; admiralty chart conventions; shipping forecasts; practical boat-handling skills; and attending Cowes Regatta to celebrate the production of boats.
Head of school says students and staff have worked incredibly hard for a significant period of time and the continued improvement is there for all to see.
The school has also achieved significant improvements in results across a number of subjects including in Biology, Chemistry and Physics, with many results above the national average.
The Head of School said every single student and staff member has something to celebrate and that as individuals every person from the Class of 2019 has excelled in some way.
The early indications are that the proportion of students attaining a grade 4 or above in English and maths this year has improved from 55 per cent in 2018, to 60 per cent.
