Acclaimed UK singer-songwriter Tom Bright will bring his powerful and deeply personal live performance to the Isle of Wight this summer, appearing for a special intimate show at Medina Book Shop in Cowes on Saturday 6th June 2026 at 7pm.
Praised by the best
Described as “achingly beautiful” by Rev. Kate Bottley (BBC Radio 2) and “one of the UK’s most moving songwriters” by John Kennedy(Radio X), Bright has steadily built a reputation as one of the country’s most compelling emerging artists.

Guy Garvey (BBC 6 Music) has praised him as “excellent,” while BBC 5 Live’s Gordon Smart calls his work “something special.” Music publication Louder Than War hails him as “a fearless acoustic troubadour with a voice like sandpaper and a heart like gold.”
The Cowes performance forms part of Bright’s extensive UK and international touring schedule, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience his music up close in a uniquely intimate setting.
A career built on the road
Bright’s career continues to go from strength to strength. In 2025, he made his third appearance on BBC One’s Sunday Morning Live, performed at his fifth Glastonbury Festival, and sold out shows across the UK and beyond.
His relentless touring has seen him play iconic venues including the London Palladium and Shepherd’s Bush Empire, as well as appearances on BBC’s The One Show and Sky News. He has also recorded numerous live sessions and interviews for BBC Radio 2, BBC 5 Live, and Radio X.
Collaborations and key milestones
Throughout his journey, Bright has shared stages with a wide range of celebrated artists including The Libertines, Mystery Jets, Tom Grennan, Reverend and The Makers, Katherine Priddy, and Ed Harcourt. His songwriting is known for its emotional depth and unfiltered honesty, earning him collaborations with The The and continued support from key tastemakers.

His track If I Met Your Shadow spent two years on Spotify’s Most Beautiful Songs in the World playlist, while his festival appearances include Celtic Connections, Secret Garden Party, and Cottingham Folk Festival, alongside five performances at Glastonbury.
In May 2025, Bright released Young Old Bloke, a collection of early songs produced by Mick Jones (The Clash) and Dirty White. He has also released three previous albums, all produced by Ed Harcourt.
A story as compelling as the songs
Beyond music, Bright’s story is equally compelling. Once the UK’s youngest pub landlord, he also overcame a childhood marked by multiple life-saving surgeries – experiences that continue to inform the honesty and resilience in his songwriting.
