Hats off to Islander Alex Varley-Winter who has been working on the Rupert Murdoch recordings scoop at the excellent Exaro News.
Long time readers may remember that Alex worked as an intern with OnTheWight back in the VentnorBlog days. She worked on several titles after leaving us and had her first byline in the Times in May 2010 and first byline in the Guardian by July 2010.
Alex worked with three other journalists at Exaro to reveal that Rupert Murdoch admitted he’d known for decades that his journalists were bribing officials.
