Isle of Wight artist Angela Hewitt is offering 50 per cent off all original artwork across three Open Studios dates this month – Sunday 17th, Thursday 21st, and Saturday 23rd May.
Visitors to the studio on Sunday 17th May can also catch Angela demonstrating her watercolour technique live, with the session running from 1pm to 2pm.
Three decades of wildlife and farm animal painting
Angela has been painting watercolours of farm animals and wild animals for 30 years, selling more than 65,000 original paintings in that time – a figure she is keen to stress is not a typo.
Self-taught throughout her career, Angela says her focus on farm animals grew from a deep connection with food. She ran an award-winning restaurant on the Island for many years.

Wildlife painting, she explains, tells a different story entirely – one rooted in a lifelong passion for wildlife and the natural environment.
Naturezones: a nature reserve born from that passion
That passion led Angela to purchase ten acres of neglected farmland in 2007, which she converted into a wildlife education centre and nature reserve called Naturezones, based at Blackwater.
Naturezones, at Birchmore Lane, Blackwater PO30 3BP, opens to visitors at weekends, and a large body of Angela’s artwork is on display there.
