Citizens Advice Isle of Wight relocates to Exchange House in Newport after County Hall departure

Last updated:

Citizens Advice Isle of Wight has moved to a new home in Newport, ensuring that vital support for Island residents continues uninterrupted.

Following the completion of the charity’s contract with the local authority, a sudden change in tenancy at County Hall occurred. The team at Citizens Advice has worked around the clock to find a space that would allow them to keep doing what they do best: helping Island people. They are now officially settled into dedicated offices at Exchange House, just off St Cross Lane in Newport.

Exchange House offers dedicated space with private consultation rooms
Returning to Exchange House marks a homecoming for the charity, as the building served as its operating base for many years in the past.

This familiar location provides a welcoming and self-contained environment, complete with a separate entrance, a comfortable reception area and private rooms for confidential discussions.

Charity pledges same trusted service from new location
The team wants to reassure the community that their core promise remains unchanged: a new home, with the same trusted advice.

Anyone needing support can be confident that the service will continue without interruption.

Dedicated staff and volunteers will carry on delivering free, confidential and accredited advice. In fact, returning to this dedicated space strengthens the charity’s ability to support the community well into the future.

Eddy Yates, Chief Executive of Citizens Advice Isle of Wight, explains,

“This move has given us a fantastic opportunity to improve how we support our clients. Returning to Exchange House gives us a quiet, dedicated and welcoming space that genuinely strengthens our ability to serve the Island.”

“Our absolute priority is the people who rely on us for accredited information, advice and guidance, so I am thrilled that our doors remain fully open. We are here, our services are uninterrupted and we are in an even better position to offer the free, confidential services our community needs.”

Face-to-face appointments now fully operational
Face-to-face appointments and administrative functions are now fully operational from the new Exchange House location.
