Complaints over noise levels triggers a premises licence review

The premises licence for Newclose Cricket Ground is under review after complaints were lodged with Environmental Health about noise levels.

Papers for the review meeting, being held 17 March, says

Officers of Environmental Health have witnessed the noise level from entertainment being provided at these premises and found it to be at a level that could cause disturbance.

They therefore believe the prevention of public nuisance objective is not being suitably upheld. In light of this, they request in their application for conditions to be attached to the licence in order to secure the promotion of this licensing objective.

Members of the licensing sub-committee will hear the case on 17th March at County Hall. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Full details of the case is outlined in the papers below.
