High ropes, laser quest and more: Parkdean unveils plan for Isle of Wight resort

Laser quest, high ropes and bungee trampolines are being proposed for a Parkdean resort on the Isle of Wight.

An adventure golf course, arts and craft den and outdoor mini entertainment stage are also planned for Thorness Bay in Porchfield.

Parkdean Resorts says its facilities upgrade proposals are about providing more of what holidaymakers want to see.

Other plans include:

  • a multi-use games area
  • high ropes course and zip wire
  • activity play area for young children
  • giant chess and table tennis area
  • metal containers holding catering concessions – Scoops ice cream, Aloha Bar, Pizza Box
  • a dog area ‘Woof Park’
  • Outdoor ‘N’ Explore Zone
  • an extension to the outside decking of the central complex
  • activity shelters
  • sheltered seating

The holiday park already has an arcade, soft play area, eateries, clubroom and indoor swimming pool.

The proposed facilities would be accessible to a wide range of users, including those with extra mobility or sensory needs, people with learning difficulties and visitors of all ages.
