Massive Violins

Isle of Arts Festival: The answer to life, the universe and everything?

THIS IS A SPONSORED FEATURE

Olympic gold medal winner and all-round skating genius Robin Cousins will tell us the story of Robin Cousins his life, starting from the age of five when he decided he wanted to be Gene Kelly and dance.

BBC Stargazing LIVE presenter Mark Thompson reveals some of the mysteries of the universe in a great show with mind-blowing demonstrations, and the seven cellists who make up The Massive Violins can between them play and sing just about everything!

In addition, singer Lili la Scala brings us her new show Siren which, as the name suggests, includes beautiful and haunting sea themed melodies. For film buffs, our Centenary Cinema slot Mark Thompsoncelebrates movie stars born in 1915 and the three most voted for on our website will be shown at the Festival. Children and families will be able to enjoy the antics of Little Howard, the world’s only six year old animated stand-up comedian.

Now in its fifth year, Isle of Arts (1 – 4 May) will be another wonderful opportunity to see great performers, get hands-on with various art forms in workshops and classes, and for all ages to be entertained by a variety of events spanning literature, music, comedy, drama, film and visual arts.

Tickets are available for each of the above shows from www.artsisle.org and more acts are still being added. Sign up for the newsletter to hear about acts as they are confirmed!
