Isle of Wight artist, Sue Paraskeva, chosen by Make Hauser & Wirth’s latest New York gallery

Congratulations are in order for Isle of Wight artist, Sue Paraskeva, whose work has been selected by the curators at Make Hauser and Wirth in New York, USA.

The Swiss contemporary and modern art gallery, with many locations around the world, have chosen Sue to be one of four artists exhibiting at their new gallery in Southampton, New York until 23rd December 2023.

Sue told News OnTheWight,

“I was thrilled to be asked to exhibit again with Make Hauser and Wirth.

“And delighted to be exhibiting brand new work from my wood-fired kiln at Binnel Studios, St Lawrence in the new gallery in Southampton, New York.

Works on display
Included in the pieces being showcased are Papaver Vessels – beautiful wood-fired porcelain pieces, as well as Stoneware Charger – a Shino glazed stoneware.

Accomplished and sought after artist
Sue’s work was showcased by Make Hauser and Wirth in Somerset back in 2021, which featured some of her incredible ceremonial pieces.

As well as Sue’s work – all created here on the Isle of Wight – being showcased in galleries around the world, she also has clients by the likes of Calvin Klein, Tom Kerridge and Kevin Costner.
