In yet another case claiming a breach of the councillors' Code of Conduct, the Isle of Wight Council's appeals sub committee debated the issue made their decision
The campaign to unseat Chris Whitehouse in the 2021 Isle of Wight council elections starts here, says the party behind the winner of the Parish Council by-election.
The Isle of Wight resident who launched the petition that has now attracted over 4,000 signatures opposing the development in the woods at Priory Bay says the tree houses visible from the sea and beach will not provide ‘punctuations of interest’ but rather destroy the character of East Wight’s best-loved beach.
Those signing the petition say they are not against the re-development of the Priory Bay Hotel, simply the 'over-development' and fear work in the woods will have a detrimental impact on wildlife and the stability of the landscape.
More than 100 comments have been made about the plans, including one from Northwood Parish Council which said the plans were ‘premature’ and should be refused by the Isle of Wight Council’s planning committee.
