Police officers searching for a missing woman from Freshwater have sadly located the body of a woman.
Police were searching for 77-year-old Celia Vosper in the area of Alum Bay, New Road yesterday afternoon (29th March).
She was last seen in the Freshwater area on Tuesday afternoon. An extensive search was carried out by Police and other services.
Family are being supported
Police say that formal identification has not been completed, but her family have been made aware and are being supported by officers.
Not being treated as suspicious
The woman’s death is not being treated as suspicious at this time and a file is being prepared for the coroner.
