Well done to 17 year old Joe Davies, who polled over 88 per cent of the votes out of the total of five candidates and has been elected as the Isle of Wight Member of the UK Youth Parliament.
The Electoral Commission say their research shows that nearly a third of people think that if you are old enough to vote then you are automatically registered. This is not the case, everyone must register themselves and have just a week left to do it.
