Riders took part in the third round of the Isle of Wight Motorcycle Winter Trials Championship last week. Members are encouraged to attend the funeral this week of Nigel Crouch, who spent more than 50 years on the committee of the club.
Weather conditions meant the planned ‘easier than normal’ course was more challenging than expected, but the Boxing Day trial went off well for Isle of Wight Motorcycle Club riders.
The ‘Matt Russell Cup’ is awarded annually to the best Intermediate rider at this trial in memory of the well-liked rider who lost his life aged just 29.
Storm Brian had left its mark on the course of the tenth round of the 2017 Winter Trials Championship at Hawthorn Manor Farm, Chale, making for some tricky conditions for riders to contend with.
