The legalisation of Cannabis, a discounted bus pass for 16-21 year olds, protection of the Triple-locked pension and more funding for the Isle of Wight NHS are just some of the election promises made by the Liberal Democrats today.
The 2017 general election was called by Theresa May for 8th June 2017.
The Isle of Wight saw six people stand as prospective parliamentary candidates:
Nicholas Belfitt – Liberal Democrat
Julian Critchley – Labour
Julie Jones-Evans – Independent
Vix Lowthion – Green
Daryll Pitcher – UKIP
Bob Seely – Conservative
