Isle of Wight MP, Bob Seely, has asked the Transport Secretary to provide reassurance the Government remains committed to supporting long-overdue improvements on Island Line.
Island Line Trains
Island Line Trains are the Isle of Wight’s only commercial rail provider.
The service runs from Ryde Pier head in the north of the Island, to Shanklin towards the south.
It’s a vital lifeline, providing a swift connection to means to exit to the Mainland, via the FastCat or Hover.
The MP says we need a much better gateway onto the Isle of Wight and also need a feasibility study to look at extending the route.
