Appeal to find good samaritan who helped injured toddler on bus

Islander, Georgia Saunders, is hoping that OnTheWight readers may be able to help with this appeal.

Last Friday, 11th December, whilst she was travelling on a route 1 bus from Cowes to Newport, her young son was injured as the bus took the roundabout too quickly. She’d like to trace the woman who helped her, so she can say Thank You.

Georgia explains,

“Last Friday I was on the number one bus from Cowes to Newport.

“The bus went too quickly round the roundabout at the top of Hunnyhill, which caused my nearly two year old to have an accident.

“As we went round, my son’s pram (which had all brakes on) went over sideways causing Brandon to hit his head on a metal pole underneath the seat on the other side of the bus.

“Brandon who was still strapped in was crying and panicking.

“When we picked up the pram with him in it, blood rushed down his face, because where he’d hit his head, it had caused it to split open a bit.

“We got picked up by an ambulance and taken to St Mary’s to have his head glued. Luckily other than that and bruised eyes he’s OK.

“I’d like to find the older lady who helped me as soon as this happened until we got into the ambulance. She kept me calm and helped mop the blood from Brandon’s head.”

If you know who the woman was that helped Georgia and her son, please get in touch and we’ll pass on the details.
