With two GPs soon leaving the practice and difficulties in recruiting new GPs, the West Wight Medical Practice have had to take the difficult decision of temporarily closing the Yarmouth branch.

There'll be a change to how residents can access their properties along Tennyson Road and Bouldnor Road as the level of work intensifies. This includes pedestrians having to use minibuses rather than go on foot.
Mayor of Yarmouth, Steve Cowley, says Island Roads failed to plan work adequately and did not consult with the local community. He's concerned other villages and towns across the Island might suffer as a result of similar failures.
