The Isle of Wight College is proud to celebrate the achievements of its students on this year’s GCSE Results Day.
Today marks a significant milestone for learners across the Island, as they receive their results and take the next steps in their educational and career journeys.
A wide range of success stories.
From 16-18 years students pursuing further studies to adult learners returning to education, the College has seen a wide range of success stories.
Among them is Emily Bindley who passed both her GCSE Maths and English and is now set to enrol onto TLevel Childcare.
Mauricio Da Silva is very pleased to get higher than expected on his Maths;
“I was so nervous, but so excited about getting a 5.”
He is now continuing at the Isle of Wight College on the T-Level Criminology course. Another standout story is Rebecca Blanchard who took Adult GCSE English and achieved a 7 and is now hoping to train to teach at Primary School level.

When asked what helped her to pass, she complimented her teachers;
“Whenever I had any problems, I would just go to them, and they were very quick to help.”
Principal Ros Parker shared her pride in the students’ accomplishments stating:
“With over 1,000 students taking their GCSE English and Maths with us this year it’s uplifting to witness their dedication and perseverance. Their progress and accomplishments lay a strong foundation for future learning and empower them to confidently follow their ambitions.”

The College continues to offer exceptional student support, a comprehensive curriculum, and a strong community spirit, ensuring every student can thrive. Whether students are progressing to T-Levels, vocational training, apprenticeships, or employment, the College stands ready to guide and support them.
Running alongside GCSE Results Day, the College also hosted its annual Options Fair— a vibrant and informative event designed to help Year 11 students explore their future pathways.
