Isle of Wight police seek witnesses following fatal collision

Isle of Wight police officers are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a fatal collision.

Police were called at 3.12pm on Monday, 28th July to reports of a collision on Briddlesford Road.

The collision involved a Ford Kuga and Kawasaki motorcycle.

Rider died at the scene
Sadly, despite best efforts of emergency services, a 58-year-old man, who was the rider of the motorcycle, died at the scene.

The pillion passenger, a 53-year-old woman, has been taken to hospital with life changing injuries.

Their family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
