Newport will host a special celebration next Saturday to commemorate 80 years since the end of World War Two.
The free event will take place at Victoria Recreation Ground from 10am to 4pm on 14th June 2025.
Newport and Carisbrooke Community Council has organised the community celebration to mark this significant milestone in history.
Parade through town centre
The Royal British Legion will lead a parade through Newport’s town centre as part of the day’s festivities.

The Bob Howarth Big Band will provide musical entertainment throughout the day.
Classic vehicles will be on display, alongside 1940s-themed exhibits that will transport visitors back to the wartime era.
