A very special three-course meal, followed by some top sounds was a fitting way to help celebrate the achievements of Isle of Wight Motorcycle Club riders throughout 2018.
The wet weather had a massive impact on the ground, which resulted in very wet and slippery conditions for the riders taking part in the Isle of Wight Motorcycle Club's Spring Cup Trial.
Amey say that although the Island does not see the level of incidents some of their other facilities have experienced, their staff do suffer verbal abuse and threats, often from traders who are stopped from illegally disposing of commercial waste in household skips.
The traditional Boxing Day trial is not part of the Championship, but there were awards for the best Father and Son pairing, the best Novice and the best Expert riders. Prizes were also given out to the best fancy dressed rider.

The late Nigel Crouch received special recognition from the Auto Cycle Union (Southern Center) and was awarded The Vera Lambert Trophy for his many years of service and dedication to the sport at the Isle of Wight Motorcycle Club's annual awards night.
The ‘Matt Russell Cup’ is awarded annually to the best Intermediate rider at this trial in memory of the well-liked rider who lost his life aged just 29.
