Well done to all the synchronised ice skaters from the Isle of Wight who took part in a national competition in Cardiff last weekend. They came home with one Gold and three Silver medals.
As the former ice rink is stripped by contractors, young synchronised skaters hold their off-ice practice outside the building in protest at the "apparent wanton destruction of their lost facility".
We all see the Ryde Arena - It's so massive it's hard to miss - but what's it like inside now? Watch this video shot by the adventurers who have been inside. OnTheWight also chats to them asking, "Can it be saved?"
Many congratulations are in order for the fantastic Isle of Wight synchronised ice skating teams who came home from the championships with Gold and Silver medals.
A lot has happened in the last year, but the Ryde Community Action Group have not given up and continue to fight to bring back Ryde Arena for the Isle of Wight community of ice skaters, ice hockey players and more.
Despite the wind and rain, around 300 people gathered at Ryde Arena today to protest about its closure some two years after AEW closed the doors on its use.
The successful application means that Ryde Arena is now listed as an Asset of Community Value and can't be disposed of without giving community groups a chance to bid for it.
