Ventnor Fringe celebrates World Fringe Day with exciting ticket competition

Monday 11th July is World Fringe Day, a global celebration of everything that’s great about fringe festivals and the Isle of Wight’s very own Ventnor Fringe is marking the occasion with a special competition.

Everyone who purchases tickets to any events at Ventnor Fringe by midnight tonight (Monday) will be entered into a draw to have all of their tickets paid for.

Ventnor Fringe co-director, Jack Whitewood ecplained,

“We’ll be selecting three baskets at random to refund the entire cost of tickets in that transaction!”

This year’s event features gigs, comedy and theatre in pop up venues throughout Ventnor from 22nd July to 31st July 2022.

Celebrating the fringe movement
World Fringe Day celebrates the fringe movement that started in Edinburgh back in 1947 that has since grown to over 200 festivals right around the world which all follow a similar ethos.

A platform for creativity in all its forms
Put simply, anyone can perform at a fringe festival! This gives them a unique atmosphere because they do not represent any one promoter or committee’s tastes or views, but instead provide a platform for creativity in all its forms to experiment, innovate and entertain.

The largest programme to date
By global standards, Ventnor Fringe might be small, but it promises it’s largest programme to date in 2022 with more than 80 different ticketed shows on offer and over 100 free acts performing around the town and in the new Fringe Village at Ventnor Park.

Tickets are available via the Ventnor Fringe Website.
