All welcome to Annual Sandman Snowman Spectacular

Natural Enterprise are inviting people to the Gift To Nature annual Sandman Snowman Spectacular on Small Hope Beach, Shanklin this coming Sunday, 23rd February at 10.30am.

This is a chance to make a snowman out of sand. Working with supporters from Arc consultancy, they will supply the carrots, coal and hot chocolate and all anyone attending needs to bring are spades, warm clothing and lots of enthusiasm.

In its eighth year
The event is now in its eighth year and as well as attracting new people each year, now has a regular following of Sandman Snowman devotees.

Carol Flux of Natural Enterprise says,

“Without fail we are emailed each January by people wanting to know when the event is. This year we have chosen a later date in February and who knows, we may even have some snow. Whatever the weather it is sure to be fun and we look forward to a range of sand and snow men, ladies, dogs and even lizards. The imagination of our supporters seems to have no bounds.”

She continues,

“We have lots of people taking part each year, and even more passing by to have a look at the amazing creations being built. The event is free; all we ask is for a donation to Gift to Nature which supports our ongoing conservation work across the Island.”
