Isle of Wight Travel Status – 22 Oct 2014

Given yesterday’s disruption we thought it might be useful to have another ‘How’s transport around the Island’ article today.

In summary, it’s all looking good so far.

The big change is that the Hover is back in service after not running at all yesterday.

Wightlink has some disruption on the Fastcat saying that they are “operated by a charter vessel because of a technical problem.”

Island Roads: Disruptions
We have a whole other article on the roads that are being affected by roadworks on the Isle of Wight today.

Below are some the Island Roads have highlighted today:-
Furrlongs, Newport will be closed as from 9am this morning for lining works
Beatrice Ave, E Cowes will be closed from approx. 6.30am until 6pm today for surfacing works
Chequers Inn Rd, Rookley will be closed from approx. 6.30am until 6pm today for surfacing works
