We hear that community spirit is alive and kicking in Ryde.
Local businesswoman, Nikki Hill has been busy organising a project to have Christmas music played throughout Ryde from the 1st – 30th December.
The music will be played between 9am and 5.30pm every day (with an exception on Sundays, when it will be 11am-3pm).
Nikki tells us that every lamp-post from The Star, down the High St, along Cross St and down Union Street will have a speaker on playing Christmas Music.
She also tells us that in the last five days she has collected £2,500 from local businesses, Ryde Business Association and Ryde Town Council and is very proud that proud of everyone getting behind the project.
