The weather conditions were perfect for the fifth round of the 2018 Winter Trials Championship held at Newbarn Farm, Calbourne.

Riders had to contend with slippery conditions during the fourth round of the Isle of Wight Motorcycle Club’s 2018 Winter Trials Championship held at Shorwell Chalk Pit last weekend.

The late Nigel Crouch received special recognition from the Auto Cycle Union (Southern Center) and was awarded The Vera Lambert Trophy for his many years of service and dedication to the sport at the Isle of Wight Motorcycle Club's annual awards night.

Weather conditions meant the planned ‘easier than normal’ course was more challenging than expected, but the Boxing Day trial went off well for Isle of Wight Motorcycle Club riders.

There were new members and returning members for the Final round of IOWmcc’s 2017 Winter Series Trials Championship.

The ‘Matt Russell Cup’ is awarded annually to the best Intermediate rider at this trial in memory of the well-liked rider who lost his life aged just 29.
